Graham spent the first part of his sporting life heavily involved in several traditional team sports, which led to him spending 17 years working in PE in both primary and secondary schools, before escaping education in 2015 to set up Outdoor Education NW Ltd with Aled.

Graham is a passionate Rock Climber, Kayaker, Mountain Biker and Hill Walker, and in early 2020 he was well on his way to completing a Winter round of the Wainwright Fells in the Lake District (unfortunately C19 put a stop to his campaign…start again next year??)

Graham is also heavily involved in NICAS climbing courses. He is on the NICAS Screening Committee and Coach Development Team.

Aled has worked in Outdoor Education for the last 25 years.

He has worked extensively across most areas of the industry, including leading overseas expeditions, and as a civilian trainer with the military.

Growing up in Snowdonia, Aled started Rock-Climbing and Mountaineering at an early age and it was this passion that dictated most of his life decisions from then on...

Before settling up OENW, Aled was the Head of a large Local Authority run Outdoor Centre. He holds the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor award and is on the Association of Mountaineering Instructors Technical Advisers register.

Aled is also a Winter Mountain Leader, British Canoeing Coach, and a British Caving Association L2 Cave Leader.
