Outdoor Activities in the Lake District for the whole family
It looks like most of us will be holidaying at home this year, so lets take the opportunity to rediscover the amazing adventures waiting for us right on the doorstep!

We believe that that flexibility is key when planning a family adventure, so we'll work with you as best we can to fit around your family's requirements:

On holiday and want a late start? No problem, we'll adjust the timings.
Got a range of ages / ability? No problem, we'll adapt the activity to fit around the whole team.
Our youngest is below the minimum age. Give us a call anyway - we might be able to adapt the activity to suit you!

FAMILY ROCK CLIMBING
An introduction to the sport, ideal for families or groups of friends who want to experience the thrills of Rock Climbing for the first time.
​
Spend the day with your instructor at the crag learning new skills and ticking off climb after climb.
​
Suitable for all levels of experience and ability!

FAMILY HILLWALKING
CLIMB CATBELLS
At 451m / 1480 ft, family favourite Catbells gives a fantastic, family friendly, introduction to Hill-walking and Mountaineering in the Lake District.
​
Despite is stature, Catbells has a genuine mountain feel to it, with some steep sections, and even a bit of easy scrambling to keep things entertaining.
​
Starting and finishing at Hawesend, near Keswick, an ascent of Catbells takes around 3-4 hours.
​
Suitable for ages 7+ (possibly younger if they are fit and active - give us a call to discuss!)
