GCSE PE Climbing:

At Outdoor Education NW, we have a wealth of experience delivering Climbing as an activity for GCSE PE. This can be delivered in several ways, to suit your needs. For example:

  • A series of shorter, weekly sessions at a local climbing wall

  • A series of full days, with the possibility of visiting several different climbing walls

  • As a residential (note we do not provide accommodation, but can help you find something suitable). This is an intensive option which allows us to focus fully on the subject for a weekend, with options for evening sessions

As an AALS License holder, we can run sessions outdoor on natural rock as well as indoors on artificial climbing walls, or a combination of both. Our climbing programmes will give your students the best opportunity for a high score for their Individual Sport.

We cover all the appropriate technical skills (fitting equipment, tying-on, belaying), as well as coaching the climbing movement skills necessary for  your students can successfully access the higher mark bands.

We provide all the technical equipment, so your students won't need anything other than their usual PE kit.
